Information for passport holders of countries and territories entitled for visa exemption

From 7 December 2020, tourists holding a passport of countries and territories entitled for visa exemption are permitted to enter Thailand under tourist visa exemption scheme or visa exemption bilateral agreement by applying for the Certificate of Entry (COE) at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/ Please refer to the announcement of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka on “New procedure of the registration for the Certificate of Entry (COE) for Non-Thai Nationals wish to enter Thailand from January 2021 onwards” for more information on the COE application*.
 

Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme for a visit up to 30 days 
  Andora, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (ROK), Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, San Marino, Singapore, Slovak, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, UK, USA, Vietnam

Bilateral Agreement for a visit up to 30 days
Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Russia, Vietnam

Bilateral Agreement for a visit up to 90 days

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru

Remarks: 
* When apply for COE at https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/, please select “Medium Term Visitor – Visa Exemption” from the drop-down list of “types of permitted persons.”
**Entering the Kingdom through land/sea border checkpoints under Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme is permitted only twice in a calendar year, except nationals of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Singapore who may enter Thailand through such checkpoints more than twice in a calendar year. 
***Travelers entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme or visa exemption bilateral agreement must possess (1) adequate cash of or equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family (2) a passport with at least six-month validity and (3) a round trip ticket.
