On 2 October 2017,Consul-General MuninPaniswasdi attended the Reception of the 9th Sakai-ASEAN Week 2017presided by Mr. Osamu Takeyama, Mayor of Sakai City, at Agora Regency Sakai Hotel. The Reception was attended by around 150 invited guests including representatives of the local government and private sector, members of the Kansai Consular Corps from ASEAN countries, teachers and students from ASEAN countries, including Thailand, who were invited to participate in activities during the Sakai-ASEAN Week 2017.
The Sakai-ASEAN Week 2017 is organized by Sakai City during 2-15 October to raise awareness about ASEAN and enhance its relations with ASEAN countries. Main activities of the Sakai-ASEAN Week 2017 include ASEAN food and culture fair, ASEAN photo exhibition and ASEAN film festival.
