On 5 December 2017, The Royal Thai Consulate-General hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Thailand's Father's Day at Peacock West Room, Imperial Hotel, Osaka.
    The reception was well-attended by approximately 360 guests, including Mr. Keiji Okamoto, Director General of the Department of Civic and Cultural Affairs, as the representative of the Governor of Osaka Prefecture, Ms. Naomi Asano, Director of Osaka Liaison Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, members of the Kansai Consular Corps, representatives of local governments and private sectors in Kansai, press, members of Team Thailand in Osaka as well as Thais residing in Kansai.
