On 12 March 2019, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Acting Consul-General,attended the Opening Ceremony of Osaka-Mahidol International Office at Osaka University. The event was attended by around 80 attendees including Professor Shojiro Nishio, President of Osaka University, Professor Banchong Mahaisavariya, Acting President of Mahidol University, executives and professors of both universities and Thai students at Osaka University. 
        The Osaka-Mahidol International Officeat Osaka University, the first Mahidol University’s international office outside Thailand, was established to strengthenthe existing close collaboration between Mahidol University and Osaka University.
        In his remarksat the opening ceremony, the Acting Consul-General mentioned how the Joint Campus Project collaborated by Mahidol University and Osaka University reflects decades of active research and education collaboration of the two institutes. This also represents the close partnership in the areas of research and educationbetween Thailand and Japan. The opening of Osaka-Mahidol International Office at Osaka University will help further strengthen the strong research and academic partnership between the two universities by promoting more student exchange, staff mobility, academic and research collaboration, as well as inter-university academic activities.The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka will continue to extend our support for both institutes to enhance the fruitful collaboration in the cultivation of global human resources who will be crucial to our future research and innovation which is indispensable for achieving sustainable development in the future.
